MEET OUR FACULTY
Dr. J.C. Neilson joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2010. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, Vermillion, in 2004. Dr. Neilson completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Medical College of Wisconsin in 2009 and his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark in 2010.

Dr. Neilson’s clinical interests include: Avascular Necrosis, Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcomas, Metastatic Bone Disease, Musculoskeletal Tumors, Complex Joint Reconstruction, Joint Replacement Surgery, and Limb Salvage Surgery
- Why I am teaching at MCW
After training at different centers around the country, I believe that the Medical College of Wisconsin has one of the best collegial relationships in the nation. As an orthopaedic oncologist I enjoy working closely with a great team of radiologists, general surgeons, vascular surgeons, plastic surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, nurses and other support personnel to provide the patient with the finest care possible.
