Visiting Medical Students

The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Orthopaedic Surgery offers four Clinical Electives and one Research Elective for visiting fourth year medical students. Each elective is a twenty eight-day block rotation offered July through April. Electives are available at Froedtert Hospital, the VA Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. The elective is intended to provide senior medical students with instruction and experience in the treatment of diseases and trauma of the musculoskeletal system and to provide experience in diagnostic and therapeutic orthopaedic treatment of adult reconstructive problems.

The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Office of the Registrar can assist students with the application process for these electives as well as provide information on local housing options. For more information, please visit the Visiting Student website.
