- Why I chose MCW
Visiting as an outside med student during my away rotation, I saw firsthand the sense of teamwork among staff and residents that makes MCW a great place to work and creates an effective learning environment. Residents are exposed to a patient population unique to Milwaukee that combines urban and suburban bringing plenty of basic trauma training as well as complex problems. With this solid foundation of surgical skills and knowledge, they have the ability to choose fellowship rather than require it for further training. I walked away from my rotation without a doubt that I wanted to be a part of MCW orthopaedics!
- What I like about living in Milwaukee
Milwaukee is the perfect size being easily navigable yet offering something for everybody. Some of my favorite things include runs along the lake, eating out at one of the city’s many great restaurants or just walking around the Third Ward. The city has some great music festivals and concerts year-round too!
