- Why I chose MCW
For me, MCW was a great choice for residency because of the well-rounded orthopedic experience offered while getting to work with an incredibly knowledgeable and yet very personable faculty. To future resident candidates, I would recommend this program because it offers a tremendous operative and clinical experience in a resident focused environment. The faculty is very well trained and thoroughly enjoy teaching the next generation of orthopedic surgeons.
- What I like about living in Milwaukee
For anyone unfamiliar with the Milwaukee area, as I was before moving here, it is an ideal place to be a resident. The city has a large enough population to provide adequate volume in all subspecialties while also being very affordable for a resident’s salary. Also, the work hours are very manageable so when you have time away from the hospital, there is plenty to do around Milwaukee to keep you entertained. From sporting events, music, museums, outdoor activities, festivals, and plenty more, you won’t have a hard time finding things to do in your spare time.
