- Why I am teaching at MCW
Thirteen years ago I was given an opportunity by my chairman, Dr. Jeffrey Schwab and by MCW-Froedtert-Children’s to return here to build a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to the treatment of patients with rare musculoskeletal diseases such as sarcomas. They allowed me to design the plan and the team, and they supported its gradual and progressive growth. MCW, Froedtert and CHW are dedicated not only to outstanding patient care provided through multi-disciplinary teams of physicians and caregivers, but also to education of caregivers and patients.Secondly as an alumnus of MCW and a Milwaukee native, I wanted to return here to give back to the school and faculty that educated me, and to this great community that I care deeply about.
