- Why I chose MCW
The short answer is this: My wife and I believe God has called us to Milwaukee and me to MCW and Froedtert. We do not yet know why, but we are excited to discover His plan for us here.
- What MCW has to offer to a Candidate
I have fairly limited experience at MCW as of yet, but so far MCW has been a great place to train. My fellow residents here are an extremely competent, good-natured bunch. They are eager to learn and to help each other learn, and they have fun in the process. The residency curriculum has an effective balance of academia and practicality.
- What I like about living in Milwaukee
My favorite thing about Milwaukee so far has been the incredible summer weather. Coming from Kansas, my wife and I are used to high temperatures in the thousands and weeks without rain. Milwaukee’s weather is paradisiacal (That’s totally a word.) by comparison. The beautiful weather makes the plethora of things to do in Milwaukee that much more enjoyable. One serious concern I have about living in Milwaukee is how far away the Chiefs will be during football season. Living in the land of green and gold feels a bit like operating behind enemy lines. It’s probably better than living in Oakland though.
